RADICAL TRANSPARENCY
Every number, in public
Most companies publish the metrics that flatter them. Here is all of them, including conversion rate, which no sane business shows you.
***** the numbers *****
gross. stripe takes its cut of this.
people who have paid at least once
includes people raising their own bid
whoever is at #1 right now
skewed by the top of the board
the more honest one
one per browser session, counted server-side
outbound traffic delivered
the only ROI number that matters
average traffic per paying customer
our conversion rate, publicly, forever
what one visitor is worth to us
since the first bid landed
do not extrapolate this
*** nothing hidden ***
***** every listing, every click *****
Caveats, because transparency without caveats is just marketing: revenue is gross, before Stripe fees. Visits count one per browser session and are written to the database in batches, so the real figure is a little higher than shown. Clicks count every outbound click, including repeats and bots.
